Dreaming Tarn

"Dreaming Tarn", Oil on Canvas, 30x48 inches. 2024. This is an oil painting centered around one of my favorite subjects, trees and dead trees/snags, interwoven with blood and sky. Tarns are small glacial or snowmelt lakes, I like to think of this as a tree's dream of water. But lakes can dream too, perhaps.
